2nd Yoshikan Invitational Karate Tournament

September 28th, 2024, saw six members of the esteemed Warriors Red Dragons Karate Club/Duro Y Suave Manos Vacias participate in the 2nd Yoshikan Invitational Karate Tournament, expertly hosted by Hanshi Osvaldo Hernandez Diaz and Kyoshi Lizette Rivera in Dundee, Florida. The team achieved remarkable success, garnering 22 awards in Kata, Kubodo, and Kumite: four Grand Championships, twelve 1st place finishes, four 2nd place, and two 3rd place. The event's true impact, however, lay in fostering meaningful connections among martial artists and instructors, facilitating learning and friendship. The tournament's organization and execution were exemplary. We pay tribute to the visionary guidance of our foundational instructor, the illustrious Grandmaster Wildcat Molina. - Adrian Yandel Cruz took 1st in all 3 events and Grandchampionship in Kobudo
- Jestina Gosein took 1st place in all three events and Grandchampionship in Kumite
- Jaden Noel took 1st in Kumite, 2nd in Kata and Kubodo and Grandchampionship in Kumite
- Osmani Menocal took 1st in Kata and Kubudo, 2nd in Kumite and Grandchampionship in Kubudo
- Maely Peralta took 1st in all three events, Kata, Kubudo and Kumite
- Alyssa Bateman (my Granddaughter and student) took 2nd in Kubudo and 3rd in Kata and Kumite
October 4th, 2024, witnessed the recognition of six outstanding Warriors Red Dragons Karate Club/Duro Y Suave Manos Vacias members who participated in the 2nd Yoshikan Invitational Karate Tournament, masterfully hosted by Hanshi Osvaldo Hernandez Diaz and Kyoshi Lizette Rivera in Dundee, Florida. The students earned four Grand Championships, twelve 1st place finishes, four 2nd place, and two 3rd place awards. Beyond the impressive results, the event facilitated valuable connections among martial artists and instructors.
